1. Installation
FileWave 5.X has been extensively tested by FileWave on CentOS 5.5 32bit, which is a RedHat derived Linux distribution.
Apple Software Update certificate expiration
Summary
Apple's certificate used to sign Updates for OS X Lion and Mac OS 10.6.8 has expired on March 23, 2012 and Apple reposted some of the updates. Therefore, Filewave server will not recognize the Filesets that were previously created (before Apple's change) because their internal IDs have changed in the Apple catalog.
FileWave Default TCP Listening Port Usage
FileWave TCP/IP Port Usage
By default the FileWave software listens on the TCP/IP ports listed below. These are the defaults and they can be configured to listen on different ports if required.
New ports numbers are in red.
FileWave Client Ports
20010 TCP/IP for monitor-client communication
20020 TCP/IP for Kiosk (fwgui to talk to client)
Configuring FileWave Clients to work with Boosters
Summary
If you are adding new Boosters, this article describes the steps to configure your clients to pull filesets from the boosters.
Procedure
You need to configure your booster to talk to your FileWave Server and then configure your clients to request Filesets from the Booster.

1- Backing up the current config
2- Editing a new config file to properly read the LDAP structure
3- Restarting the Apache Process so it reads the new config file
Getting the files ready
Open a Terminal Window or use SSH to get into the computer running FileWave Server
Gain root credentials
Enter your login password
Navigate to the FileWave Apache configurations folder
