Include the FileWave Client on your base Image

Summary ( If you are using Deploy Studio in your environment read this )

 A very common practice for FileWave Administrators is including the FileWave Client on their base image.  This ensures that all of your machines will have the ability to connect to the server remotely, so that you will never have to use any method other than FileWave to deploy software to the machine.

Since the release of 3.6.2, this process has become very simple -- there are just three settings that you must set.  You would perform this procedure on your base image creation machine, just before you've finalized the image into dmg form.

Procedure

1.  Locate and open the latest FileWave Client pkg installer from the dmg.

2.  When you reach the Client Assistant (settings) phase of the installer, make sure to set the following:

-  Server address and port

-  Sync Computer Name Checkbox

-  Client Password (This password is only used for accessing the FileWave Client preferences remotely)

3. Click OK and then you're done. You may proceed with image creation.
